DEVANI JOLMAN - Ecological Sciences PHD STUDENT
Old Dominion University 3rd Year Ecological Sciences PhD CandidateHello fellow plant enthusiasts!
I have been a member of the Wallace lab at Old Dominion University since fall of 2021. With the guidance of my advisor, Dr. Lisa Wallace, I am working towards attaining my PhD in Ecological Sciences. Along with my academic pursuits, I am passionate about science education, both informal and formal. Before returning to academia, I was both a Naturalist and Interpreter in Vermont and Michigan. Now I work with various organizations to provide plant-focused programs in the Hampton Roads area!
Education is the key to caring about this beautiful and diverse planet we are lucky to call home. If you are interested in any programs, please reach out! |

Behind the Scientist Beyond my career interests, I like to fill my life to the brim. I am a fan of drinking hot, black coffee in the mornings with my partner, walking with my dog, Acorn, surfing next to dolphins, running on trails, reading fantasy, and playing every game you can think of (Magic, D&D, board games, card games, you name it). I love good conversation, good art, and good music.
